Manifesto

Omo Owo's Five Commitments.

A senator legislates, appropriates, and exercises oversight.
This is exactly what Omo Owo will do.

"I am not a career politician. I come to this race without the baggage of broken promises, because I have never made political promises before. Everything written here is a commitment I will be held to."

01

Youth Empowerment & Employment

The single most repeated complaint in Ogun East is the failure to empower our young people. They are leaving, to Lagos, to Abuja, to the diaspora, because there is nothing here for them. That is a failure of representation, and I intend to end it.

  • Advocate for dedicated federal skills and enterprise funding for young people across Ogun East, with a focus on technical and digital skills.
  • Advocate for federal entrepreneurship grants and cooperative loans for young people across all nine LGAs.
  • Partner with federal agencies to establish a youth employment bureau in Ijebu-Ode.
  • Bring the NYSC Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme to Ogun East, consistently and properly funded.
02

Healthcare Access for All Communities

In Ogun East, where you live still determines the healthcare you can access. In Ogun Waterside, rural Ijebu North, and Ijebu East, too many people travel for hours to get care that should be available much closer to home. That has to change.

  • Secure federal support for the rehabilitation, equipment, and effective operation of primary health centres across Ogun East.
  • Sponsor a bill guaranteeing maternal and child health funding for rural and riverine communities.
  • Advocate for a federal medical outreach programme targeting Ogun Waterside and other underserved communities.
  • Work with the National Health Insurance Authority to expand access to affordable health insurance for market women, artisans, and self-employed people across Ogun East.
03

Agriculture, Waterways & Economic Development

Ogun East has the land, the water, and the people. What it has lacked is a senator who fights for federal investment to unlock its potential. Ogun Waterside sits on waterways that could drive an entire aquaculture economy.

  • Secure federal agricultural support, training, subsidised inputs, cooperatives, and market access, for farmers across the district.
  • Sponsor legislation recognising Ogun Waterside's economic potential and unlocking federal waterway development funding.
  • Fight for completion of critical road infrastructure connecting rural Ijebu communities to markets.
  • Advocate for a commodity exchange or regional market facility in Ijebu-Ode.
  • Push for federal support to establish fish farming and aquaculture cooperatives in Ogun Waterside.
04

Education, From Primary School to University

Education is the most powerful investment Ogun East can make in its future. Too many children here are not receiving the education they deserve, because of poverty, infrastructure failure, and a federal government that has not prioritised this district.

  • Advocate for at least one new federal government secondary school or college of education in Ogun East in the first term.
  • Establish and advocate for scholarship and bursary opportunities for academically promising students from low-income families across Ogun East.
  • Fight for ICT infrastructure, broadband, computer labs, digital learning tools, in secondary schools across all nine LGAs.
  • Ensure constituency project funds are directed exclusively to verified, completed education infrastructure.
  • Publicly track every abandoned federal education project in the district.
05

Accountability, A Senator Who Answers

This is the most important pillar, because it is the foundation on which all the others rest. I am making this commitment before election day, so that it can be held against me.

  • A monthly District Clinic, open to every constituent, no appointment needed, held in rotation across all nine LGAs, from the first month in office.
  • A quarterly public performance report, published on this website and distributed to community leaders, detailing every bill sponsored, vote cast, and project tracked.
  • A constituency office in Ijebu-Ode, staffed throughout the term, reachable by phone, email, and in person.
  • Transparent constituency project funding, every contract publicly listed from award to completion.
The promise

Your voice is finally heard.
